Highest-scoring teams of 2024/25 in Europe's biggest five leagues

As the 2024/25 football season reaches its midpoint, Europe's elite teams have showcased their attacking prowess.

More and more teams have reverted to attacking football in an attempt to appease fans who want to get their money's worth.

Spurs under Ange Postecoglou are a great example of a club shifting its philosophy to create a more entertaining value-proposition for their global fanbase.

Sticking with the Premier League, Brentford have been prolific this season in front of goal, signalling a change of style perhaps for Thomas Frank's side

All the goals counted in our data are domestic league goals only.

We rank the highest scoring teams in Europe's biggest five leagues (Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1) to determine which teams are the most attacking domestically across the continent.

10. Arsenal (Premier League)

  • Goals: 39
  • Shots per Game: 13.8

Mikel Arteta's side have received a lot of criticism of late for not being prolific in front of goal, with many pointing to the fact that Arsenal miss an out-and-out striker. But that doesn't reflect in the numbers, with Arsenal being the tenth highest-scoring team in Europe this season.

9. Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga)

  • Goals: 40
  • Shots per Game: 16.4

Bayer Leverkusen started this season where they left off last time out, being ruthless in front of goal. Xabi Alonso's side are the second highest-scoring team in Germany, and are the ninth when compared to their counterparts in Europe's top five leagues.

8. Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League)

  • Goals: 42
  • Shots per Game: 14.9

The aforementioned have been excellent in front of goal this season, especially at home where Ange Postecoglou's side have been scoring relentlessly.

Though there have been questions about the Australian coach's stubbornness to his all-out-attack style of football, it is certainly working with Spurs ranking eighth in Europe's top five leagues for goals scored.

7. Atalanta (Serie A)

  • Goals: 43
  • Shots per Game: 14.9

Atalanta have emerged as a surprise contender for the Scudetto this season. Gian Piero Gasperini's side have always been known for their impressive out-of-possession tactics, but they are now getting a name for themselves as an elite attacking outfit.

Aided by goal contributions from Meteo Retegui and Ademola Lookman, Atalanta rank seventh in the list of Europe's top-scoring teams in the 2024/25 season.

6. Real Madrid (LaLiga)

  • Goals: 43
  • Shots per Game: 15.2

When Real Madrid signed Kylian Mbappe, many believed they would go on to set goal-scoring records this season both domestically and continentally.

However they have struggled to create a balance in the side with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo both underperforming for goal contributions this season.

Even still, Real Madrid rank sixth in the highest scoring teams, domestically, this season.

5. Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1)

  • Goals: 46
  • Shots per Game: 19.4

Paris Saint-Germain have had to adapt to life under manager Luis Enrique, who lost the services of the club's top scorer, Kylian Mbappe, last summer.

But adapt they have, with the Parisian club creating an impressive amount of highly-valuable goalscoring opportunities so far this season.

Despite missing a lot of big chances, PSG rank fifth in the list of the most goals scored by teams in Europe's top five leagues.

4. Inter Milan (Serie A)

  • Goals: 46
  • Shots per Game: 15.9

You may not associate the defensively resolute Inter Milan with goals. The Serie A champions, managed by Simone Inzaghi, have been impressively ruthless in front of goal in 2024/25.

Inter Milan are the fourth highest-scoring team in Europe in 2024/25.

3. Liverpool (Premier League)

  • Goals: 47
  • Shots per Game: 16.6

When Arne Slot came in at the start of the season to replace the Jürgen Klopp dynasty of the past nine seasons, not many had them down to be challenging for Premier League honours.

With Mo Salah finding new levels in his game, Liverpool have gone on to be one of the stories of the 2024/25 season.

Liverpool are the third highest-scoring side in Europe, having scored 47 domestic league goals in the 2024/25 season.

2. Bayern Munich (Bundesliga)

  • Goals: 48
  • Shots per Game: 19.6

Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich have developed a knack for demolishing teams in the Bundesliga this season.

Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise have been Bayern's top scorers this season, with the Bavarian club scoring 48 goals, making them the second-highest scorers in Europe in 2024/25.

1. Barcelona (LaLiga)

  • Goals: 51
  • Shots per Game: 16.8

Hansi Flick's Barcelona have been a relentless attacking outfit this season in La Liga. The German coach has instilled a dominant mentality into the players, to attack at all costs, leading to some of the highest-scoring games in the club's history.

Barcelona are the highest-scoring team so far this season, having scored 51 goals in La Liga in 24/25.
